Sunset, also known as sundown, is the daily disappearance of the Sun below the horizon due to Earth’s rotation and we all know and love that magical time of the day. But from a photographer point of view and perspective sunset is something way more complex and variegated since it offers an incredibly wide range of subtle color hues, from yellow to red and then from pink to purple and blue, until dusk marks the beginning of the evening/night. During this very short time frame, each moment is different since light and colors quickly change in the blink of an eye, a few seconds and the same subject looks different due to a different light. The magic between the Golden and the Blue hour simply happens quietly and in the right weather conditions it really offers an amazing chance to take unforgettable shots.
